I'm a freelance illustrator, writer, and surface pattern designer based in Los Angeles, California, specializing in picture books, middle-grade, young adult, non-fiction educational market, editorial illustration, as well as surface and pattern design for novelty items and home decor.
I received a BFA in Illustration and Design from The Academy of Art University in San Francisco, and also took computer animation and VFX classes with Santa Monica College and Anime School where I studied Texture and Surface Design for film and animation.
My career began in film and animation as a Surfacing and Texture Artist for companies like Digital Domain and Nickelodeon. However, after having children, I transitioned to working from home to pursue my passion for children's publishing and freelance illustration work. I have since become deeply involved in the world of children's books and illustration. As of 2024, I am the new Illustration Coordinator for The Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators, Los Angeles chapter.
